The Gaualofa Trust is the brainchild of Samoa’s Tama-Aiga and former Head of State, His Highness, le Afioga a le Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Ta’isi Tupuola Tufuga Efi, and Masiofo Filifilia Tamasese. They, through the Trust and its Trustees, seek to promote Samoan and Pacific indigenous scholarship, and creative indigenous knowledge building events and initiatives. Their years of service to Samoa and to the Pacific indigenous fanauga (family) continues through the work of the Trust.

    The Gaualofa Trust was established as a Samoa based Charitable Trust pursuant to the Samoa Charitable Trust Act 1961, on the 17th of June, 2014.
